Your performance on this exam determines whether you can take Theory 1 (Mus150) or Fundamentals (Mus130). This exam checks to see if you can identify notes, major key signatures, intervals, triads, time signatures, and melodic direction. You will need speakers or earphones for the last few questions.

On the next two pages, input your email address, a username of your choice, and your name. If you go by a different name, such as a nickname or maiden name, please use the name that is on file with the UNM's registrar's office.

The test is given in three clefs. You only need to answer the questions in one clef. Choose the clef that you best read.
