what is it, where is it, & Who's it for?
- The Computer Music Lab serves all music students and faculty as well as Media Arts and other Fine Arts students as needed. In addition, the lab hosts classes such as Computer Applications I and II, which cover fundamental concepts in desktop music production.
- The Lab is located in the Center for the Arts in Room B223. This is in the secure area of the basement, so you will need your authorized LoboCard.
- All music students are free to use the lab even if not enrolled in the Lab classes, for example to complete a theory assignment using Sibelius or to experiment with the synths in Logic Pro. Friendly, knowledgeable student employees are on hand to assist Lab users.

To join the MyUNM group Computer Music Lab, which provides online access to equipment reference manuals and quick-start guides, login to my.unm.edu, click the "Groups" button and search in the Groups Index under the Academic category for "Computer Music Lab."

Each workstation in the Computer Lab includes a Mac with a variety of pro production software such as Logic, Sibelius and ProTools; a keyboard with the full General MIDI sound set plus factory-included sounds; MIDI and audio interfaces; and a TAPCO Mix.50 mixer.
