JOHN D. ROBB MUSICAL TRUST ASSISTANTSHIP


Qualifications:
An excellent student pursuing a Master Degree in Music or Music Education.  The student should have experience and interest in composition and theory, and should possess a strong proficiency with technical equipment and computer software.

Responsibilities: The John Donald Robb Musical Trust Graduate Assistantship has several responsibilities. First, the graduate assistant’s work will help improve access to the Robb Archive. Second, the student will assist the Managing Director and Artistic Director with the John Donald Robb Composers’ Symposium. Third, the graduate assistant will participate in the Robb Trust’s educational and community outreach programming. Finally, the Robb Trust graduate assistant will be responsible for other various duties as directed by the Robb Trust and its Managing Director.

Stipend: This is a two-year (four-semester) half assistantship, with total workload of 10 hours per week. Contract is by semester, but renewable if work is satisfactory.  The stipend is approximately $6,100 per academic year, in addition to a waiver of tuition (exclusive of special course fees) for up to 6 credits per semester (does not apply to summer tuition).  Any additional hours, including summer coursework, can be taken at the resident tuition rate.
