Dr. Patrick is Professor Emerita of Music History. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After seriously considering a degree and career in French language and literature, Professor Patrick turned to music and musicology as more reflective of her broad and eclectic interests. She was at UNM from 1974 to 2005, teaching music history and playing the harpsichord. She is the harpsichordist for the period-instrument ensemble, the Albuquerque Baroque Players.
