Michael Anthony has been playing guitar professionally since 1960. His career includes fifteen years of playing in Hollywood recording studios, among them Paramount Pictures, MGM, 20th Century Fox, Universal Studios and Walt Disney Studios. He has recorded with Andy Williams, The Beach Boys, Burt Bacharach, Diana Ross, Peggy Henry Mancini, Michele Legrand and other well-known artists. He has also worked on TV shows such as The Carol Burnett Show, Happy Days, Knotts Landing and numerous others. He currently performs in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Los Angeles.

Michael's recordings have won several awards from the New Mexico Music Industry Awards. He is currently contributing editor for Just Jazz Guitar Magazine. His Jazz Warm-Ups for Guitar is published in Mel Bay's Quik Guide series.
