Jazz Band I

Jazz Band I is the premiere jazz group in our program and is open by audition only. The band has made appearances throughout the Southwest. Recent guest artists have included James Moody, Randy Brecker, Bill Watrous, Louie Bellson, Frank Mantooth, Eddie Daniels and Dick Oatts. Participation in the ensemble is available for one hour credit at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Jazz Band II:

Jazz Band II also requires an audition for membership. The band has made appearances in New Mexico and Colorado. Participation in the ensemble is available for one hour credit at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
