STUDIO INSTRUCTION IN SAXOPHONE

APPLIED MUSIC is the term for studio instruction (lessons) in a particular instrument or voice, or in conducting or composition. Lessons in these areas are available under course numbers with the prefix APMS. These are available to non-music majors by audition, subject to available studio space and department resources; priority is given to music majors and minors.

Enrollment in Applied Music requires instructor permission; before enrolling, you must contact the instructor and perform an audition if necessary.

Please refer to your degree plan to find which course numbers are appropriate for you. Consult with the applied instructor for advisement on appropriate level. For information on what course number you should enroll in for Applied Music, please click here: Explanation of Applied Music Course Numbers (PDF, 84 KB).

Lessons are scheduled with the instructor on an arranged basis.
