To register for the UNM Children's Chorus:

• Print and fill out the registration form (Click HERE for the form).   Children's Chorus options are on the second page.
• If your child was in the chorus fall semester, you do not need to fill out another form.
• Follow the directions for payment found on the form.
• Registration will be available in the Popejoy Lobby at the first rehearsal, but we strongly recommend that you mail in your registration at least one week by January 23.

Wednesday chorus rehearsals are in the UNM Center for the Arts (Popejoy) building:

• 5:15-6:15 Primary Chorus, grades K-1st, Room B015 - Conductors: Julia Church Hoffman and Ashley Morgan
• 5:15-6:30 Intermediate Chorus, grades 2nd, 3rd & 4th, Room B117 - Conductor: Julia Manganaro
• 5:15-6:45 Senior Chorus, grades 4th - up, Room B120 - Conductor: Regina Carlow

Wednesday Parking on campus costs $1.75/hour in the metered spaces or the parking structures.   For the first rehearsal, plan to park and escort your child into the building.   Plan to stay for a gathering with the children and parents at the beginning of the January 30 rehearsal.

After the first rehearsal on January 30, you will have the option of using our drop off/pick up service. We will send out information about that.

The Chorus...

The University of New Mexico Children's Chorus is a non-auditioned chorus serving boys and girls in the Albuquerque metro area.

we believe...

The chorus was founded under the premise that every individual voice, no matter how skilled or strong brings a distinctive perspective to an ensemble. In forming a chorus that is developmentally, artistically, and intellectually appropriate for young singers, we offer the children of Albuquerque an inclusive means of musically expressing their voices in an environment that affirms and celebrates the diversity and uniqueness of each child.

The UNM Children's Chorus is housed in the Department of Music of the University of New Mexico and is an affiliated program with the University of New Mexico Music Prep School.
