Corbin Dillon, M.M., Trumpet Performance

Corbin, whose teaching experience spans over 11 years and ranges from beginners through the twelfth grade, received his bachelorís degree in Music Education from The University of Texas at Austin where he studied with Raymond Crisara. After graduating from UT, he became the Assistant Band Director at Seguin High School in Seguin Texas, where taught the concert, marching and jazz bands as well as beginning music classes. In addition to his performances with the UNM ensembles, Corbin has also appeared with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, the new music ensemble "Chatter" and the Farmington Brass Band. Corbin is a founding member of The Copper Street Brass Quintet, which recently performed to rave reviews at the Rafael Mendez Brass Institute in Denver and worked with world-renown soloist and former member of the Canadian Brass, Ronald Romm.

Joseph Gray, M.M., Trumpet Performance

A native Californian, Joseph Gray grew up in Oceanside where he attended Vista High School.  After graduation, Joe eventually enrolled at California State University at Long Beach, where he studied trumpet with Robert Frear and David Washburn.  He recently received his Bachelor of Music degree in trumpet performance from CSULB in December 2007.  Joe has been very active in drum and bugle corps, having spent two summers marching with the renown Blue Devils of Concord, CA.  He has also been a brass instructor with the Blue Devils and the Esperanza Drum and Bugle Corp of San Diego, where he was named Brass Caption Head in 2005. Joe is currently assisting with visual instruction with the Academy Drum and Bugle Corp of Phoenix, AZ.  Joe is an avid San Diego Chargers and Padres fan and in his free time enjoys playing with his dog, Eleanor Rigby.   He looks forward to rooting for the UNM Lobos basketball teams in 2008!

Allison Hall, M.M., Trumpet Performance

Allison Hall began her music studies on piano at age seven and has studied the trumpet for 14 years. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Trumpet Performance from St. Olaf College, where she studied with Dr. Martin Hodel and Charles Lazarus. Ms. Hall performs regularly in the UNM Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra and has also appeared with The New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, The Santa Fe Symphony, the new music ensemble ìChatterî and Canticum Novum of Santa Fe. Allison is also a founding member of The Copper Street Brass Quintet (visit us at www.copperstreetbrass.com). As an educator, Ms. Hall has taught trumpet students ranging from beginners to adults in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Texas.

Elliot Kuzio, B.M., Music Education

Elliot Kuzio began studying Music Education at UNM in the fall of 2007. He first picked up a trumpet in the fifth grade and eventually graduated from La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, where he played in the marching, jazz and concert bands. He participated in the New Mexico All State Bands and the Southwest Honor Band every year of his high school career. Also very interested in jazz, Eliot has performed with the New Mexico All State Jazz Ensemble as well as the New Mexico Jazz Workshop All Star Jazz Band.  He can currently be heard performing with the Spirit Marching Band, the UNM Symphonic Band and Soundpack.

Sarah Muttyala, M.M., Trumpet Performance

A native of Portland, Oregon, Sarah Herbert began playing trumpet at age eleven. Though she studied classical trumpet with Dave Bamonte of the Oregon Symphony, she also showed a strong interest in jazz at an early age. After working with many of Portlandís finest jazz musicians, Sarah attended Indiana University, where she received her Bachelor of Music degree in performance.  While at IU, Sarah learned music under the guidance of such notable trumpeters as Edmond Cord, Joey Tartell, Pat Harbison, Steve Houghton and David Baker. Sarahís musical accomplishments include performing with theìFour-Topsî and appearing as a regular band member for Norwegian Cruise Lines.
