Studio Class meets weekly and is a combination performance class/seminar/masterclass, etc. as needed based on topic. Attendance is required of all performance and education majors. While the schedule is posted here, it will remain fluid, based on the availability of guest clinicians, etc.
Aug 27 – Billy Hunter, Principal Trumpet of the Metropolitan Opera, will give a Masterclass.
Sept 3 - Everyone will perform an etude of their choice.
Sept 10 – Trumpet teams will perform.
Sept 17 - Grad Asst Joe Gray will lead class. Topic TBA.
Sept 24 - Master class on working productively with piano collaborators. Tsu-Feng Lui will participate.
Oct 1 – Ben and Kyle will perform the 1st Mvt from the Kennan Sonata.
Oct 8 – Everyone will perform an etude from the Charlier book.
Oct 15 – Fall Break
Oct 22 – Joe and Eliot will perform the 2nd Mvt from the Kennan Sonata.
Oct 29 – Grad Asst Ben Hay will lead class. Topic TBA.
Nov 5 – Everyone will perform a chamber work with at least one other performer of a different instrument.
Nov 12 – Adam, Clark and Christina will perform the 3rd Mvt from the Kennan Sonata.
Nov 19 – Trumpet teams will perform.
Nov 26 – Thanksgiving Break
Dec 3 - All Graduate will perform their jury work with accompanist.
Dec 10 – All Undergraduates will perform their jury work with accompanist.
