A student may take more than 6 hours per semester, but these are charged at the resident rate. The tuition waiver does not cover special course fees or summer tuition (but all summer hours are charged at the in-state rate). The assistantship is awarded by semester and is renewable for up to a total of 4 semesters, depending upon satisfactory completion of work requirements. The workload for this assistantship is 10 hours per week.
Students interested in applying for the graduate assistant position are required to send a resume including any teaching and/or performing experience, a repertoire list, and an audio tape containing 30 minutes of your most recent performance.
