MPS Talks! What is it?
MPS Talks! is an event for the whole family, hosted and organized by the University of New Mexico Music Prep School. The event will feature professionals from the music world who will give brief talks on different topics including parenting through music, music and the brain, and thinking like an artist. Also featured will be the renowned international vocal ensemble VOCES8. “VOCES8 is now established as one of the world’s most versatile and best-loved singing groups, and they are passionate about music education.” The day will also include activities in the Popejoy lobby, such as an “Instrument Petting Zoo,” “Making Listening Maps,” and “Music Games.” There’ll be live music, refreshments and swag bags.
