Guided Visualization
Close your eyes and imagine a beautiful place. It can be inside or outside, any time of year, real or imaginary, somewhere you've been or somewhere you'd like to go. Imagine what you're hearing, what you're seeing, smelling, tasting, feeling. Notice the air, the light, the temperature. Notice your surroundings in as much detail as you can. How do you feel? Is anyone else there? Notice if there's another friendly being in the space. If there is, this being has a gift for you. Accept the gift and say goodbye.
Now, when you're ready, open your eyes and come back to the room, or wherever you are. Choose a pen and some paper, and write for 5 minutes. Don't worry about spelling and grammar, or making complete sentences. There's no need to stay on topic or to even make sense. This writing is for your eyes only. Just keep the pen going and write.
When you're finished read over what you've written. Notice any words, ideas or images that jump out at you. Using one of those as a starting point, do some further writing. Write until you are finished. You might also consider drawing your imagined place, or some part of it that you were especially attracted to.
