Open Book Project

The OpenBook Project is a new and potentially transformative pilot project to serve cancer patients, family members and caregivers. Accompanied by live music, patients create a self-designed book/journal of poetry, images, creative exercises, and art/health resources particular to their needs and interests, in collaboration with an artist-in-medicine. The journal will travel to and from the hospital with the patient, empowering them and nurturing them as, through life review and reflection, they reconstruct their lives in the midst of illness.
